Abstract
İletişimin bir öğesi olan haberleşme, ilk insanın varlığından başlayarak duygu, düşünce ve bilgilerin karşı tarafa aktarılmasıdır. Birey yaşamını sürdürebilmek için hayatın her evresinde iletişime ihtiyaç duymaktadır. İletişim sürecinin vazgeçilmez parçası olan medya, iletişim tarihinin başlangıcı kabul edilen ilk insan topluluklarından bugüne kadar süregelen bir tarihsel sürecin parçasıdır. İnternet öncesi ve internetten sonra olarak farklı bölümlerde inceleyebileceğimiz "medya" geleneksel ve dijital olmak üzere iki farklı dönemde incelenmektedir. Yaşadığımız 21.yüzyıl birçok bilim insanı tarafından "İletişim Çağı" olarak adlandırılmaktadır. İçinde yaşadığımız bu iletişim çağında bireyin dış dünya ile iletişimini sağlayacak birçok araç üretilmiştir. Bu bağlamda, yaşanan bu hızlı gelişmeleri takip etmek insanlar için zorlu bir süreç haline gelmeye başlamıştır. Bu doğrultuda gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmada, bireylerin dijital ortamlarda karşılaştıkları haberleri algılamalarında eğitimin rolünün, çeşitli demografik değişkenlerle (cinsiyet, yaş, gelir düzeyi, eğitim durumu ve kullanılan sosyal medya araçları) birlikte incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda araştırma, bilimsel araştırma yöntemlerinden nicel araştırma ve genel tarama modellerinden betimsel tarama modelinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu; çalışmanın amacına uygun olarak farklı cinsiyet, yaş, eğitim ve gelir gruplarından seçilen 215 katılımcıdan oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen ve demografik bilgilerin yanı sıra dijital ortamlarda karşılaşılan haberlere ilişkin bireylerin görüşlerinin belirlendiği soruların yer aldığı anket formu kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) 23.0 paket programına aktarılmış, analiz edilmiş ve analiz sonuçlarına göre çıkarımlarda bulunulmuştur.
Correspondence, which is one of the components of communication, is the transfer of emotions, thoughts and information to another person since the existence of humanity. An individual needs to communicate in every phase of his life in order to live. Media, the indispensable part of communication, is a part of the historical process that has continued to this day from the first human communities which are considered the beginning of the history of communication. "Media" which can be analysed in two different sections as before and after the Internet is referred as traditional and digital media. The 21st century that we currently live in is referred as "Communication Age" by many scientists. In this communication age that we live in, many tools have been produced to enable an individual to communicate with the outside world. Following these rapid developments has started to become a difficult process for people.The aim of this study which was carried out in this context was to examine the role of education in individuals' perceptions of news encountered in digital media, together with various demographic variables (gender, age, income level, educational status and social media tools used). The research was conducted by quantitative research method which is one of the research methods and by descriptive screening as a general screening model. The study group of the research consists of 215 participants selected from different gender, age, education and income groups, in accordance with the purpose of the study. A questionnaire form, which was developed by the researcher as a data collection tool and contains questions regarding the news encountered in digital media as well as demographic information to determine the opinions of participants, was used. Collected data was transferred to and analysed by SPSS 23.0 (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) software package and, outcomes were reported according to the analysis results.
