1945-2020 yılları arasında mimar-kimlik ilişkisinin sorgulanması

Abstract

1945 yılı itibariyle mimari akımlara eklenen modernizm ve 2020 yılında kendini gösteren yeni yönelimler arasındaki dönemde; teknolojik gelişmelerin yansıması, disiplinler arası etkileşimler, küresel dünyanın değişen değerleri ve ortaya çıkan akımların sınırlarının belirsizleşmesi tasarımların çeşitlilik kazanmasına yol açmıştır. Hızla gelişen dünya içerisinde tasarlama yeteneğinin boyut kazanmasına ve rasyonel biçimde kullanılmasına aracılık edecek materyal ile tekniklerin gelişme göstermesi mimarlık disiplini içerisinde yer alan kişilerin de özgünlük elde etmesine sebebiyet vermiştir. Bir yapının yalnızca bir yapı olduğunu ya da sanat olduğunu anlamlandırabilmek, gözlemlenen yapının içerisinde bulunan birikim ve estetiğe dayanmaktadır. Bu doğrultuda yapıya sanatsallık kazandırma görevini üstlenen mimar; sorumluluğunu süreç içerisinde ilerleme kaydetmesine bağlı olarak, rasyonel sınırlar çerçevesinde ustalıkla özgürleşmesiyle meydana getirdiği kimliği üzerinden somutlaştırmaktadır. 1945 – 2020 yıllarında meslek hayatını aktif bir şekilde sürdüren mimarlar da belli bir kimlik kazanımı için çeşitli süreçlerden geçmiş olup, bu süreçler neticesinde az sayıda mimarın herkesçe kabul gören kimliği oluşmuştur. Genel kabule somutluk kazandırmak amacıyla bu çalışmada mimarlık ödülleri kilit nokta özelliği taşımaktadır. Başlıca amacı yapılan çalışmaları yetenek, vizyon ve bağlılığın birleşimi açısından değerlendirip, yaşayan mimarları onurlandırmak, mimarlık sanatıyla insanlığa ve yapılı çevreye tutarlı, önemli katkılar sağlamak olan ödüller, çakışma yöntemi ile tez çalışmasında incelenecek isimlerin belirlenmesine aracılık etmektedir. Bu çalışmanın genel çerçevede amacı; belirlenen isimler doğrultusunda mimarların kimlik kazanım süreçlerini ortaya çıkarmak, mimari kimliği tanımlayan kodları - kavramları somutlaştırmaktır. İncelenen isimler üzerinden yapılan literatür araştırması başlığı altında; eskiz taraması, yaşam kesitleri, kaleme aldıkları ve adlarına yazılan kitaplar/makaleler, söylenen sözler - tanımlanış biçimleri ve şirketlerine ait web siteleri ile mimar kimlik ilişkisi sorgulanıp, bilinirlik kazanmış mimarın tanımı yapılmaya çalışılmaktadır.In the period between modernism, which was added to architectural movements as of 1945, and new trends that emerged in 2020; The reflection of technological developments, interdisciplinary interactions, the changing values of the global world, and the blurring of the boundaries of emerging trends have led to the diversity of designs. In the rapidly developing world, the development of materials and techniques that will mediate the ability of design to gain dimension and use it rationally has caused the people in the discipline of architecture to achieve originality. Making sense of a building as just a building or as an art is based on the accumulation and aesthetics of the observed building. In this direction, the architect, who undertook the task of bringing art to the building; embodies its responsibility through the identity it has created by masterfully liberating it within the framework of rational boundaries, depending on its progress in the process. Architects who continued their professional life actively between 1945 and 2020 also went through various processes to gain a certain identity, and as a result of these processes, a generally accepted identity of a small number of architects was formed. To give concreteness to the general acceptance, the architectural awards are the key point in this study. The awards, whose main purpose is to evaluate the works done in terms of the combination of talent, vision, and commitment, to honor living architects, to make consistent and important contributions to humanity and the built environment with the art of architecture, mediate the determination of the names to be examined in the thesis study with the overlap method. The general purpose of this study is; to reveal the identity acquisition processes of architects in line with the determined names, to embody the codes and concepts that define architectural identity. Under the title of literature research on the names examined; It is tried to make a definition of the architect who has gained recognition by questioning the relationship between the identity of the architect, the sketches of his life, the books/articles that he wrote, and written in his name, the words spoken - the way they are defined and the websites of their companies.
