Publication Metadata only Acknowledging the Mother Kenneth Branagh's Mary Shelley's Frankenstein as Elaboration of Mary Shelley's Novel Frankenstein(2004) Ceylan, Özlem Gülgün; 107801Publication Metadata only ‘Moulded and Remoulded : The Prelude as a Wordsworthian Macrocosm of Reconciliation’(2005) Ceylan, Özlem Gülgün; 107801Publication Metadata only Publication Metadata only Çocuk işçiliği ile Eğitim Yolu ile Mücadele Çocuktan Çocuğa Yaklaşımı Projesi(2009) Temel, Zeynep Fulya; Kurtulmuş, Zeynep; TORAN, MEHMET; 7909; 109326; 127979Publication Metadata only Education of respect diversity at preschool period(2009) Yıldırım Polat, Aslı; YAĞAN, SEVCAN; 55019; 55949Publication Metadata only Student teacher co-operation in syllabus design: a win-win situation(2009-11) Doyran, Feyza; 159249Publication Metadata only Turkish Children’s Perceptions on Sustainable Development(2010) Haktandır, Gelengül; Yıldız, Tülin Güler; Yılmaz, Arif; Kurtulmuş, Zeynep; TORAN, MEHMET; 109823; 31411; 109326; 127979Publication Metadata only Preschool teacher candidates metaphors about democracy(2010) Yıldırım Polat, Aslı; YAĞAN, SEVCAN; 55019; 55949Publication Metadata only Comparison of Abuse Potentials of Teacher Candidates(2010) Temel, Zeynep Fulya; Kurtulmuş, Zeynep; TORAN, MEHMET; 7909; 109326; 127979Protection of children and children's rights which are associated with the welfare of a society is among the most critical problems of today in the world. Abuser people are not always the antisocial people, sometimes they may be the persons close to the child. Child abuse and neglect may be experienced in the family, among the peers, as well as in the educational environment. Abuser people are often the persons recognized by the child, the adults taking place in the immediate surroundings such as home, school, and office. Children are abused by the parents at home, and by the teachers, managers and employees at school environment. At school, reasons such as teacher's personality disorder, crowded classes, social pressures, adoption of beating as a discipline method cause abuse. The role and importance of the teachers is as great as the family's in raising the child. The children spend most of their time at school and with their teachers after their families and grow by mostly looking up to them as a model. This research examined whether there is any difference between the senior year students of Child Development Education and Preschool Education programs at Gazi University Faculty of Vocational Education, as well as of Elementary Education and Social Sciences programs at Faculty of Education regarding abuse potential. The research also examined whether there are significant differences regarding gender, age, monthly income, whether receiving treatment or not, and use of medication, number of members and number of working persons in the family, and unfavorable events experienced at school in regard to the abuse potentials of senior year students. A Demographic Information Form and Milner's Child Abuse Potential Scale was applied to the senior year students so as to collect their findings in the research. © Common Ground, Z. A total of 246 mothers living in Diyarbakır, 123 with lower and 123 with upper socioeconomic status, was enrolled in the study. Data were gathered by using a personal information form and the Parental Acceptance-Rejection Questionnaire-Mother Form (Rohner, Saavedra, & Granum, 1980). The results revealed a significant difference between lower and upper socioeconomic status mothers' child acceptance-rejection behaviors (t = 7.709; p < 0.05). While the mothers' age (r = .202; p < 0.05) and number of children (r = .238; p < 0.01) were positively correlated to their acceptance-rejection behaviors, their children's sex did not make a significant difference to the mothers' acceptance-rejection behaviors.Publication Metadata only Preschool teachers and headmasters opinions about democracy education(2010) Ören, Meral; YAĞAN, SEVCAN; 55019; 59958
