Bellek-mekan ilişkisi: Tarlabaşı örneği

Abstract

Bu çalışma İstanbul'un merkezi sayılan ve yok olmaya yüz tutmuş, kentsel dönüşüm projesi ile de yakın gelecekte eski kimliğini kaybedecek olan Tarlabaşı'nın mimari geçmişini analitik bir şekilde incelemektedir. Aynı zamanda bu tarihi bölgede 19. yy üçüncü çeyreği ile 21. yy'ın birinci çeyreğine kadar yaşayan farklı insan topluluklarının fiziksel ortamlarını ne şekilde değiştirdiklerini algılamak, öte yandan ayakta kalan tarihi verileri doğru değerlendirmek, mazide kalan dokuyu oluşturan eserlerin mimari özelliklerini keşfetmek, bellek-mekan ilişkisini değerlendirmek ve günümüzde farklı eğitim ve yaş grubundan seçilen deneklerin bir parçası oldukları Tarlabaşı'nı nasıl algıladıkları görmek ve onlar adına bir farkındalık yaratabilmek bu araştırmanın bir diğer amacıdır.

This study examines the achitectural history of Tarlabaşı which is known as the center of Istanbul and is about to disappear with the urban transformation project that will lose its old identity in the future. At the same time, in this historical region from the third quarter of the 19th century to the first quarter of the 21st century to understand how the different human communities change their physical environment, to evaluate the surviving history items, to explore the architectural features of the artifacts of the remaining historical texture, to evaluate the relationship between memory and space are the other aims. In addittion, the prupose of this study is to see how the subjects selected from different education and age groups perceive Tarlabaşı as a part of them and to create awareness behalf of them.
