Abstract
Trabzon il merkezinin 13 km. batısında konumlanan Akçaabat ilçesi, doğal bir liman kenti
olarak tarihinde pek çok medeniyete ev sahipliği yapmıştır. Günümüzde sahile paralel ve
doğrusal gelişme gösteren kent derelerle birbirinden ayrılan mahallelerden oluşmaktadır. Bu
mahallelerde geleneksel evler kent merkezinin güney tepelerinde deniz seviyesinden 50-60 metre
ile 110-120 metre arasındaki yükseltide konumlanmışlardır. Ortamahalle mevkiinde oldukça
fazla olan geleneksel evlerin 53 tanesi tescillidir. Mimari açıdan yere özgü belirgin karakteristik
özellikler taşımaktadırlar. Yerel verilerin ve geleneksel yaşamın şekillendirdiği bu evler
karakteristik özellikleriyle mahallelere kimlik kazandırırlar. Çalışmada amaç Akçaabat ilçesinin
en önemli kültür varlıklarını oluşturan geleneksel evlerin mimari değerini ortaya koymak ve
korunarak gelecek kuşaklara aktarılmasına katkı sağlamaktır. Amaca yönelik olarak 53
geleneksel evin yerleşim, plan, cephe ve detaylar düzeyinde analizleri ve irdelemeleri yapılarak
mimari miras değerleri irdelenmiştir. Bu evler ilçenin geçmişten günümüze taşıdığı en önemli
kentsel kimlik elemanları olmakla birlikte hem yerleşme hem de mimari açıdan yerin ve kültürün
mekâna yansımasının en güzel örnekleridir. Ayrıca yöreye kimlik kazandıran yapısal niteliklerin
ayırt edici özelliklerinin saptanabilmesi amacıyla yöre halkı ile de bir anket ve görüşme çalışması
yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucu yapılan literatür, alan ve anket çalışması sonrası analizler
yapılarak geleneksel evlerin mimari özellikleri tipolojik olarak sınıflandırılarak sunulmuştur.
The town of Akçabaat located at 13 km west of Trabzon has housed many civilizations as being natural harbor city. Nowadays the city consists of districts which are seperated by the streams and show directional development parallel to shore. The traditional houses are settled on the southern hills of each district approximately 50-60 and 110-120 meters high above the sea level. Of the traditional houses, most of which are found in Ortamahalle District, 53 were registered throughout the city. The houses bear clear location-dependent peculiar architectural characteristics. These houses shaped by local data and lives provide identity to the districts with their local characteristics. The aim of this study is to present the architectural values of those traditional houses and contribute to deliver them as conserved shape to the future generations. For reaching at this aim, architectural heritage values of 53 houses were evaluated by investigating and discussing their plans, facades and other details. These houses are not only the most important attribute of city identity delivered from the past to nowadays but also the excellent examples of culture reflected to the area. In addition, a face to face survey was performed in order to determine distinguishing structural characteristics of the houses which provide them local identity. Typological classification of architectural features of houses was performed following literature, area, and survey studies and the classification of the houses in this manner are presented.
