Rol-Model: "Deney" (Das Experiment) Film Örneği

Abstract

Toplumsal yaşamda oynadığımız roller zamanda içselleşerek kişiliğimizin bir parçası olmaktadır. Ancak yaşamda yalnızca kendi rollerimizin dışında diğer rolleri de öğreniriz. Diğer rolleri de öğreniriz. Diğer rollerle ilgili bilgilerimizi; çevremizi gözlemleyerek ya da kitle iletişim araçlarından gelen iletiler doğrultusunda oluşan yaşam deneyimlerimizin sonucunda ediniriz. Gerekli koşullar oluştuğu zaman da öğrenmiş olduğumuz diğer rollerimizi günlük yaşamımıza taşırız. Toplumsal öğrenme kavramını inceleyen Bandura ve Zimbardo bu alanda başarılı çalışmalar yapmışlardır. Bandura, model almanın ve öykünmenin(imatation) önemli bir toplumsal öğrenme süreci olduğunu ileri sürer. Zimbardo ise ünlü deneyi ile toplumsal öğrenmenin önemi vurgulamıştır. Zimbardo'nun yaptığı çalışmalar sinema alanına da etkisi altına almıştır. Yönetmen Oliver Hirschbiegel'in 2001 yılında yaptığı "Deney"(Das Experiment) filmi, Zimbardo'nun deneyini konu alan "Kara Kutu" (Black Box) adlı Almanca romandan senaryolaştırılmıştır. Deney filmi başlangıçta Zimbardo'nun deneyi ile bire bir örtüşmektedir. Ancak film giderek abartılı bir biçimde kurgulanmıştır. Bu çalışma, deneyden esinlenilerek oluşturulan filmde, deneklerin bir oyun, bir yanılsama(Simülasyon) olduğunu bildikleri halde rollerini gerçekmiş gibi benimsediklerini, olayı bir kişilik çatışmasına dönüştürdükleri göstermektedir. Zimbardo'nun deneyinde de filmde de, toplusal yaşamda bireylerin yetke ve kontrol sahibi oldukları zaman, bu yetkelerini diğer bireyler üzerinde acımazsızca kullandıklarına işaret etmektedir.

The people who were acting the role of guards and the prisoners had to become brutal. The guards behaved in this way not because of their personalities but because of the situation they were in and the roles they were playing. The film, showing us so clearly how are latent knowledge of other social roles can be brought to the fore when needed this studies tells us quite a lot about the importance of role knowledge in human social behaviour. It also tells how power and control is automatically coupled with cruelty.
