Abstract

Edip Cansever, one of the most important poets in the history of Turkish Literature, planned his poems within the framework of searching, asking and renewing. In fact, he denied some writings that he had written and he didn?t accept to be a part of a school of poem. Cansever created his own style by benefiting from the advantages of prose. He formed his unique style and voice by means of the elements that can be fallowed rather than form. Cansever, who balanced this with prose remarkably, did not deviate from poetry in any way. It is possible to see all of his capabilities in poetry that there was a risk of losing poetry and chancing it into prose. He didn?t write `dramatic poetry? but poetry. We have tried to show the difference between Cansever?s unique style and dramatic poetry, the aspects of his benefiting from narration and to find these aspects.
