Abstract
Along with the `80s and the impact of globalisation, media endustry drew attention and seemed to have financial increases. The media is heading towards a merged, single market constitution, as broadcasting resources for the sake of social wellfare receives restrictions in time. Through the process of globalization, alongside the other fields of life, the development in media economies caused changes in the structure of ownership and increase in monopolization in the media. It basically causes the shape of the media endustry to transform completely. The most important means that helped the globalization reach its peak is media. The media endustry operates in parallel to expansionist policies of globalization. Monopolized media on an international scale has become an implement in the period of running and regenerating the neo-liberal ideolgy. The ideological approaches that media has popularized presented the neo-liberal policies in the form of undisputed myths and the need to ?consent and legitimacy? in order to maintain the persistence of the dominant ideologies is gained through media. The public whom the world was shown only by the sight of neo-liberalism, becomes a part of the active mecanism. Also, including during the time of war, it has been made obvious by the disinformation examples of ?How the media make public agree?. Investment groups are taking an interest in the media endustry on account of their privity after witnessing the expantion of the media domain, bonds and contradictions between the governments and the capital owners, leads up to unilateral media structure that refuses the voice of minorities and alternatives. Mainstream media has fallen under the hegemony of the capital, the political powers and the rich than ever before. Manupulated by putting through disinformation process, unilateral, inadequate information flows through the whole world via news agencies causes a threat to the nations which can lead them to loosing their political and economical freedom. Subjective, one sided news reports stream is a handicap against the third world countires in breaking the current hegemony and the prejudices. Media has been turned into a weapon used for exploiting less developed countries in politics, economics and cultural cases and winning wars of imperialists.
