Abstract
Psikolojik bir şiddet türü olan yıldırma, insanların bir arada çalıştığı her kurumda oldukça sık görülen, kişi ve kurum sağlığı üzerinde olumsuz sonuçlar yaratan bir problemdir. Toplumun en önemli sacayaklarından eğitim kurumlarında da var olan bir sorundur. Bu sebeple bu çalışmanın amacı, eğitim kurumlarında öğretmenlerin yıldırma hakkındaki görüşlerini belirlemek, yıldırma davranışlarına, taraflarına, süreçlerine, etki, sonuç ve baş etme yollarına ilişkin detaylı bir inceleme yapmak ve konuya metaforlar yoluyla da derinlik katmaktır. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olgubilim (fenomenoloji) yaklaşımı ile desenlenen araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme soruları kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden kolay ulaşılabilir durum (convenience sampling) örneklemesi yoluyla belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2017-2018 eğitim-öğretim yılında, İstanbul ilinin Kağıthane ilçesindeki farklı devlet okullarının ilkokul ve ortaokul düzeyinde görevli sınıf ve branş öğretmenleri arasından gönüllülük esasına göre belirlenmiş 25 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Öğretmenlerle yüz yüze görüşmeler yoluyla elde edilen veriler içerik analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmadan çıkan sonuçlara göre, yıldırma öğretmenlerin tamamı tarafından bilinen, gözlemlenen ve baş edilmeye çalışılan bir olgudur. Eğitim kademesinde yer alan her bireyin birer yıldırmacı adayı olabildiği ama en çok konumun da etkisiyle idarecilerin yıldırmacı rolünde yer aldığı görülmüştür. Yıldırmanın psikolojik ve fiziki sağlığa yönelik davranışlarla kendini gösterdiği ve bu alanlar üzerinde olumsuz sonuçlar yarattığı belirlenmiştir. Başta sorunlu kişilik yapısına sahip bireyler olmak üzere çok çeşitli nedenleri olabilen yıldırmayla baş etme konusunda daha çok pasif eylemlerin tercih edildiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda kullanılan metaforlar da görüşleri destekleyecek şekilde araştırmada yer almıştır. Bulgu ve sonuçlardan hareketle muhatap kişilere birtakım öneriler sunulmuştur.
Mobbing which is a form of psychological violence has been frequently seen in every institution that people work together and is a problem which has negative effect on the healthy functioning of people as well as institutions. The mobbing is mostly seen in educational institutions which are the keystones of our society. Therefore, the aim of the present study is to determine the opinions of teachers' about mobbing, to make a detailed examination of teachers' strategies about mobbing behaviors, actors, processes, effects, results, and coping, and also to deepen the general understanding by examining the topic through metaphors. The current study was designed by one of the qualitative methods: Phenomenology. Furthermore, semi-structured interview questions were used as measures. The sample of the study was determined by convenience sampling which is a form of purposeful sampling. The participants were 25 class and branch teachers from different elementary or middle schools located in the district of Kagithane in the province of Istanbul. These teachers were selected from Istanbul state schools and only volunteer ones were sampled during 2017-2018 academic year. The data were collected through face-to-face interviews and content analysis was used to examine the data. The results showed that the mobbing is a phenomenon that is well-known, frequently observed, and hardly handled by all of the teachers. The findings also indicated that everybody in each level of educationmay be a candidate of mobbing as a perpetrator but managers are mostly seen at that role because of their positions. Moreover, mobbing is seen through psychological and physical behaviors and it may have a detrimental effect on these behaviors. Not only problematic personality characteristics but also other related factors can be counted among its antecedents but problematic personality characteristics were primarily mentioned by the teachers. Furthermore, the results showed that mostly passive strategies were preferred as a coping strategy and the analysis of the metaphors also supported these opinions. According to the findings, some suggestions were given for target population.
