Abstract
Bugün mimarlığa ilişkin eleştirilerin yoğunluğu, mimarlık eğitimi ve mesleği arasındaki ilişkilerin yeniden sorgulanmasını gerektirmektedir. Bu durumda, tüm üretim, uygulama ve hizmet alanlarında olduğu gibi eğitim alanında da ‘’ kalite ‘’ kavramı ve ‘’ Toplam Kalite Yöntemi ‘’ felsefesi etkilerini göstermektedir. Çünkü mimarlık mesleği tüm dünyada, değişsen toplumsal, ekonomik ve teknolojik koşullara paralel olarak sürekli yeni gelişmeler göstermektedir. Eğitimde kalitenin yükseltilmesini amaçlayan toplam kalite yönetimi, öğrenci memnuniyeti, katılım, sorgulama ve öğrenci merkezli eğitim gibi kavramları gündeme getirmektedir.
Today because of the criticism towards the architecture, it is inevitable to re-assess the interrelationships between architectural education and architectural profession. Thus the concept of ‘’ quality ‘’ and ‘’ Total Quality Management ‘’ Show its influence in the area of education like in the areas of manufacturing, options, and service. Because architectural profession is gradually changing due to social, economical and technological changes all over the World. The total quality management targeting a higher qualituy in education introduces the concepts of student satisfaction, student participation and student centered education.
