Atatürk ve Atatürk devrimlerinin Kuzey Afrika fikir ve sanat hayatına etkileri

Abstract

The foundation of Turkish and Libyan relations was laid thousands of years ago. The beginning of these relations dates back to the sixteenth century, the time when the Ottoman Empire conquered Tripoli. These established relations have changed into various forms in time, have declined due to disturbance at times, and sometimes have gained acceleration. At the beginning of the nineteenth century, especially in the year of 1830; after France invaded Algeria, the Ottoman Empire strengthened its relations with the province of Tripoli. According to this, the Ottoman Empire left many architectural, scientific, and literary works in this area. Especially, the reflections of the reforms done by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, which have changed Turkey?s aspect and raised the country to the level of contemporary and modern countries, have been very profound in Tripoli. The traces weren?t only restricted to the boundaries of history, but they also spread to the fields of literature and culture as well. The great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk himself lived in Tripoli, and is a known figure by the community. The name of Atatürk has conquered their hearts and has left a place in their minds. However, despite all of these, we are thinking that; not enough interest is placed on this matter as should be, by the recently published works. Hence, with this modest work of ours, we aimed to illuminate the existance of the great leader Atatürk?s reforms in Libyan conception and literature.
