Abstract

It is a well-known fact either visual or linguistic indicators transfer no meaning at all when used alone but varies up to the times, contents, interests and cultures and take a new meaning in certain systems. In this contexs, the main subject of this study is the ‘20th Century Fashion Dictionary’ that transfers language gathered together, consists visual and linguistic indicators, fashion theories, fashion houses and designers and fashion systems shape and find a place in social life.
