Abstract
Forex piyasası günlük 5 trilyon doları aşan işlem hacmiyle dünyanın en büyük uluslararası finansal piyasası olarak bilinmektedir. Tezgahüstü piyasaların, en çarpıcı örneği şeklinde karşımıza çıkan bu piyasanın, bu denli büyümesinde, dalgalı kur rejiminin küresel olarak benimsenmesi ve gelişen teknolojinin getirdiği iletişim kolaylıkları önemli bir rol oynamıştır. Yüksek kaldıraç oranları, 24 saat açık bir piyasa oluşu ve çift yönlü işlem olanağı aynı zamanda bu piyasayı spekülatif işlemlerin de odağı haline getirmiştir. Bu çalışmada, öncelikli olarak Forex piyasasının işleyişine ve Türkiye'deki gelişimine ışık tutulmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu kapsamda, Forex piyasasında kullanılan analiz yöntemleri incelenmiş ve bu yöntemlerin anlaşılmasına yönelik olarak uygulama örneği yapılmıştır. Devamında ise, SPK'nin 2011 senesinde, resmen düzenlemeler getirdiği ve denetimi altına aldığı Forex piyasanın, Türkiye'de gelişimi düzenlemeler çerçevesinde ele alınmıştır.
Forex market has been known as the world's largest international financial market with a trading volume exceeding five trillion dollars per day. In this growth of forex market, which is most striking example of counter markets, the global adoption of the floating exchange rate regime and ease of communication brought by the developing technology have played an important role. High leverage ratios, twenty four hours open markets also dual trading opportunity have made forex markets the focus of speculative transactions. In this study, firstly it has been aimed to clear up the working of the Forex market and developments in Turkey. In this regard, methods of analysis that used in forex market have been also studied in order to understand these methods, some applied studies have been carried out. Afterwards, developments regarding forex market in Turkey have been discussed in terms of formal regulations and controls which were made by SPK (Capital Market Board) in 2011.
