Tarihsel süreç içindeki melodramın dünya sineması üzerindeki etkisi ve Türk-İtalyan sinema anlayışındaki yeri

Abstract

This study indicates the origin of melodrama in historical process and the place where it located in our country with the examples. Defination of melodrama, the story of its birth, its structural properties and its interaction with other fiels of art have been resourched and finally its journey to filming has been discussed. It tells us about which sociologic and cultural process the melodrama used in Turkish Cinema gone trough and how it is influenced by World Cinema. The years between 1960-1975 when melodrama captured "Yeşilçam" have been intensively treated and the films that are belong to that era have been given as examples. Furthermore it considers the way melodrama has influenced today's series and movies and how it hasn't lost interest over the years. In the aspect of the opion that is defended it mentions about Italian culture and the similarities between Turkish and Italian culture have been presented. The thesis deals with the similarities of Turkish and Italin filming. It's about the films that are shooted at about the same time in two countries by retracing this cultural likeness.
