Nâilî Sâlih Kenz-i Nesâyih (Metin-inceleme)

Abstract

The subject of this study is transcription and anlysis of Kenz-i Nesâyih of Nâilî Sâlih (Nâilî-i Cedîd) which is published in 1877, the commentary of Faridüddin al-Attar?s Pendnâme. Objective is to bring Kenz-i Nesâyih (Secret Treasure of Advice) to modern Turkish and meanwhile assist for a better understanding to it by making an analyze. Kenz-i Nesâyih is one of the numerous translations and commentaries of Pendnâme, which had a deep and perennial influence over Turkish classical literature. And this work considers the book as a sufistic advice book and analysis is made by this perspective. As been written in nineteenth century, language and images used in Kenz-i Nesâyih proves the continuity of the sufistic culture. Kenz-i Nesâyih can be called as a mystic description of being an ?active and a good person? in an age which there were efforts to shove sufism to a hermitic area snapped from social life. With this work aim is to rake up Kenz-i Nesâyih, which has a sufistic backround supported with science and art, one of a valuable example of classical culture which uses poetry to advice people. We suppose this work will help to overcome the prejudice of esteeming works which are build with religious items. And we believe this work will also assist to overcome antipathy against this sort of works and deepen the scientific and objective viewpoint. Any contribution in this matter will be worthy for strengthening the link between history and art. Briefly the objective of this work is to give some help to set up this link accurately.
