Publication A comparative performance analyze model and supplier positioning in performance maps for supplier selection and evaluation(Elsevier Science Bv, Sara Burgerhartstraat 25, Po Box 211, 1000 AE Amsterdam, Netherlands, 2012) Bilişik, Mutlu Emir; Çağlar, Hatice Nazan; Alp Bilişik, Özge Nalan; 110809In supply chain, supplier has an important role and in this situation supplier evaluation and selection is gained more significance for companies. So that, it is purposed to improve an evaluation model to evaluate and select suppliers more effectively by correlate with company's supply chain. For that reason, a form is designing to collect data from concerned company's personnel and performance measuring model which includes scoring methodology and correlation analysis that is called as "Performance-Effect" analysis in this study. With this model, it is proposed to divest supplier evaluation from its general evaluation concept by presenting alternative selection criteria, suppliers and methods for working with positioning of these in performance maps.Publication A microsoft visual Basic software for B-Spline solution of the one-dimensional heat equation(2008) Çağlar, Hatice Nazan; Çağlar, Süleyman Hikmet; Özer, Mehmet; CUHACI, LEVENT; 110809; 114368; 2509; 112369Publication A model proposal for the chaotic structure of Istanbul stock exchange(PERGAMON-ELSEVIER SCIENCE LTD, THE BOULEVARD, LANGFORD LANE, KIDLINGTON, OXFORD OX5 1GB, ENGLAND, 2008-06) İşeri, Müge; Çağlar, Hikmet; Çağlar, Nazan; TR110809; TR114368Chaos theory is considered a novel way of understanding the behaviour of nonlinear dynamic systems. It is well known that the evaluation of chaotic systems is dependent on initial conditions since exponential growth error is a common characteristic. This present paper evaluates the effects of a nonlinear dynamic system in Istanbul Stock Exchange, based on time series. The reliability of predicting stock behaviour depends on this fact. In other words, the aim is to prove that if ISE daily index return shows chaotic behaviour. (C) 2006 Elsevier Ltd. Recently, much attention has been expended in studying these equations and there has been a considerable mathematical interest in them. In this work, the solution of the one-dimensional nonlocal hyperbolic equation is presented by the method of non-polynomial cubic splines. Numerical results reveal that present method based on non-polynomial spline is implemented and effective.Publication B-spline Interpolation Compared with Finite Difference, Finite Element and Finite Volume Methods Which Applied to Two-Point Boundary Value Problems(ELSEVIER SCIENCE INC, 360 PARK AVE SOUTH, NEW YORK, NY 10010-1710 USA, 2006-04-01) Çağlar, Hikmet; Çağlar, Nazan; Elfaituri, Khaled; TR114368; TR110809This paper considers the B-spline interpolation and compares this method with finite difference, finite element and finite volume methods which applied to the two-point boundary value problem. -d/dx(p(x)du/dx) = f(x), a < x < b, u(a) = u(b) = 0.Publication B-spline Method For Solving Linear System Of Second-Order Boundary Value Problems(Pergamon-Elsevier Science Ltd, The Boulevard, Langford Lane, Kidlington, Oxford Ox5 1Gb, England, 2009-03) Çağlar, Nazan; Çağlar, Hikmet; TR110809; TR114368The B-spline method is used for the numerical solution of a linear system of second-order boundary value problems. Two examples are considered for the numerical illustration and the method is also compared with the method proposed by J. Lu [J. Lu, Variational iteration method for solving a nonlinear system of second-order boundary value problems, Comput. Math. Appl. 54 (2007) 1133-1138]. The comparison shows that the B-spline method is a more efficient and effective tool and yields better results. (C) 2008 Elsevier Ltd. Most of the models are based on the Black-Scholes partial differential equations. In this paper, the Black-Scholes option pricing model which has been used frequently is solved by using the B-spline functions. The numerical experiments showed that the present method is an applicable technique and gives an exciting results for European option pricing.Publication Dirty Dozen Scale: Asaptation to Turkish, Reliability and Validity(Mehmet Akif Ersoy Üniversitesi, 2018-12) Yaşlıoğlu, Duygu Toplu; ATILGAN, ÖZGÜR; 112587The aim of this study is to demonstrate the reliability and validity by adapting the scale called "Dark triad dirty dozen" to Turkish Employees who were in managerial positions in any enterprise were selected as research sample. In order to test the reliability and validity of the scale in Turkish language, data collected from two different samples. The results of the exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis revealed that three factor structre was confirmed. Since there is no problem in convergent and divergent validity tests, it can be argued that the scale is reliable and valid. In other words, these findings show that the dark triad scale can be used as a reliable and valid tool to be used especially in the field of business management.Publication Dynamics of the solution of Bratu's equation(PERGAMON-ELSEVIER SCIENCE LTD, THE BOULEVARD, LANGFORD LANE, KIDLINGTON, OXFORD OX5 1GB, ENGLAND, 2009-12-15) Çağlar, Hikmet; Çağlar, Nazan; Özer, Mehmet; Valaristos, Antonios; Miliou, Amalia N.; Anagnostopoulos, Antonios N.; TR114368; TR110809; TR2509In the present report we examine the dynamics exhibited by the solution of Bratu's equation. It represents a one-dimensional map with control parameter theta. For certain values of the parameter theta it exhibits successive bifurcations and shows chaotic regimes. This behaviour was confirmed by calculating the corresponding Lyapunov exponent, power spectra and cobweb diagrams, indicating similarities with other well-known one-dimensional maps.
