Abstract

Aim of this study is to examine the effect of Chaplin on Kemal Sunal cinema which is very clear in this context. In the study, the comedy genre and its pioneers has been examined. It's very clear, like other comedians, Chaplin's cinema and his "Tramp" persona was very effective on Kemal Sunal's filmography. In this context Chaplin's effects on world cinema was carefully examined. And also its reflections Kemal Sunal's "Saban" persona has been compared in a comprensive way with selected films of both artists, with similarities and differences.
