Abstract

It is not a very common situation for synonyms to coexist in a language for a long time. There are various reasons why words fall out of use in languages. The death of a word is usually caused by the introduction of a word from the language’s own source or from another language. The language of the masses who move away from the motherland or the main mass begins to change over time and this becomes the main reason for the formation of dialects. Turkish language divides words into two main categories: nouns and verbs. Adjectives, adverbs, pronouns are the names of the tasks that words undertake in a sentence. It is accepted by linguists that there are no postpositions in the structure of the Turkish language and that this type of word is derived from nouns or verbs. Erinç is a word derived from the verb er-, which is one of the main auxiliary verbs of the Turkish language, and is encountered in Old Turkic inscriptions, Uighur and Karakhanid texts. The contribution of this word to the sentence is to add certainty or probability to the meaning. This word, which was not attested in written language after the Karakhanid texts, was replaced by the present tense inflected forms of er-and especially tur-. In modern Turkic written languages, the-dIr declarative or strengthening suffix from the form turur is used with the function that the word erinç adds to the sentence.
