Shoemaker-Lecy 9: " Dikkat! Yaklaşmayın Güneş Sistemi Tamirde" D. H. Levy

Abstract

Bu çalışmada; 1994 yılının Temmuz ayında Jüpiter'e çarpan ünlü kuyrukluyıldız Shoemaker-Levy 9'un (SL9) dokuzuncu periyoduna kadar olan öyküsü, kuyrukluyıldızın yapısı ve başta astronomlar olmak üzere bütün dünyanın ona olan ilgisine değindik. Ayrıca, SL9'u keşfeden (Mart 1993) amatör astronomlar David Levy, Carolyn Shoemaker ve Eugene Shoemaker'ın amatör astronom kimlikleri ve SL9'un Jüpiter'de biten yolculuğu hakkındaki düşünceleri de bu çalışmada yer almaktadır.

In this work, we examined the "Comet Shoemaker - Levy 9" (SL9) which impacts on Jupiter in July 1994. Addiationally, this work contains the story of discovery 'from SL9's until 9th period', general properties of SL9; the interest of the SL9 on world wide astronomers and, this magnificent comet's discoverers David Levy, Carolyn Shoemaker and Eugene Shoemaker's astronomer identity; their thoughts about SL9's destiny to Jupiter.
