Abstract

Advencement of Information Technology facilitates the use, development and the share of scientific software today. Although the software production emerged as an important industry, the scientific software systems are mostly developed by domain experts. In this studywe first present the effore have been made to determine the level of software use/development in the field of Astronomy in Turkey and then we examined the usage ( if any ) of particular methodology in the use and development of scientific software for astronomical applications.
