1940 Kuşağı Toplumcu Şairleri ve Halk Şiiri

Abstract

Şiire Nazım Hikmet etkisiyle başlayan, toplumcu söylemi kullanan ve ilk edebi ürünlerini 1940’lı yıllarda veren şairler, edebiyatımızda 1940 Kuşağı Toplumcu Şairleri olarak anılırlar. Bu şairlerin eserlerinde toplum problemleri, savaş karşıtlığı, barış özlemi, işçilerin ezilmişliği, yoksulluk gibi temalar vardır. Bu temaların şiir olarak dile gelmesinde söyleyiş halk diline ait sözcüklerle, deyimlerle yapılmıştır. 1940 Kuşağı toplumcu şairlerinin tümünün halk şiirine veya söyleyişine yöneldiğini söylemek de oldukça zor. Ancak bu grup içerisinde anılan şairlerin büyük çoğunluğu halkın diline, zevkine, söyleyişine ve halk şiirine uygun bir edebiyat tarzını benimsemişlerdir. Nazım Hikmet’ten gelen serbest ölçülü şiiri kullanmış olan toplumcu şairlerin halk söyleyişlerine başvurmalarının temel nedeni ele aldıkları temalardır. Gelenekle modern olanı birleştirme gibi bir çaba söz konusu değildir. Yazımızda, 1940 Kuşağı Toplumcu şairlerinin eserlerinden hareketle bu yargıya gidilmiştir.

The poets who use socialist speech beginning with Nazım Hikmet’s effect and produce their first literary work in 1940s are called as 1940 Generation Socialist Poets in our literature. The themes addressed by the poets are social problems, antiwar, nostalgia for peace, labors, poverty. The poets address the themes in their poems using folk speech and phrases.It does not mean that all 1940 Generation Socialist Poets have tendency towards folk poetry and to use folk speech and phareses. However, most of the 1940 Generation Socialist Poets adopt literature type which is appropriate to folk speech and folk poetry. The poets who adopt poems originated from Nazım Hikmet use the folk speech and phrases because of the themes they used. There is not any effort for synthesizing the tradition and contemporary. In this article, all the conclusions are reached on the basis of the poems of the 1940 Generation Socialist Poets.
