Halk Edediyatı'nda İstanbul

Abstract

İstanbul, Edebiyatta hem mekân hem de konu olarak önemli bir yere sahiptir. Halk Edebiyatı alanında varlığını, Dede Korkut Kitabı'ndan başlayarak kendini göstermiştir. İstanbul'un tarihî geçmişi, sosyal ve ekonomik hayatın canlılığı, onu edebiyat dünyasına katmıştır. Halk Edebiyatı'nın, toplumdan beslendiği göz önünde bulundurulursa, İstanbul, halk sanatçıları için bol malzeme sunmaktadır. İstanbul, eserlerde gidilmesi, görülmesi gereken bir mekândır. Gidiş sebepleri, genellikle iş bulmak, ticaret yapmak veya gezmektir. Anlatılardaki kahramanlar, İstanbul'da akıllı ve erdemli davranmaları sonucu, İstanbul'a gitmekte ki gayesini başardığını, zengin olduğunu, sosyal hayatta güzel bir konuma geldiğini görebiliriz. Âşık geleneği şiirlerinde, İstanbul'un önemli siyasi, sosyal olayları tespit edilebilir. Meşhur yangınları, siyasi ayaklanmaları, sanatçıların şiirlerinde işlenmiştir. Türkü, ninni, tekerleme, bilmece gibi türlerde ise İstanbul'a gitmenin yanında, beklemenin duygusunu da vermektedir. Eşini, kardeşini, sevdiğini İstanbul'a yollamanın, yaşattığı duygu, sitemkâr hâl eserlere yansımıştır. Karagöz oyunlarında ve meddah hikâyelerinde İstanbul, mekân olmuş ve konusu içinde İstanbul hayatı verilmiştir. Tüm bunlar doğrultusunda, halkın gözünde bir İstanbul görüntüsü oluşmuştur.
