Abstract

When we look at the 20-year period between the years 1923-1943, which is defined as the early Republican period, it is seen that it causes radical changes on society. This period, which can be called as the transition years, is the year of re-structuring. Overall in the last period of the Ottoman Empire Neoclassical Movement itself showed enlightenment experienced the proclamation of the Republic and innovation as the 20-year period can be defined which have taken effect in the whole world Art Deco movement, has taken its place Neoclassicism in Turkey. Art Deco has been accepted and accepted as a symbol of westernization, modernization, increase in comfort of life and change in Istanbul and other big cities. Art Deco, which is especially effective in architecture, art, interior and furniture, has started to be seen in the products and accessories used in daily life with its lines that represent simple and modern and modernization. Particularly wall and console clocks were included in this modernization.
