İkinci Meşrutiyet Döneminde Bir Mizah Gazetesi: Geveze

Abstract

İkinci meşrutiyetin 1908’de ilan edilmesiyle birlikte Osmanlı matbuat hayatında büyük bir canlılık meydana gelmiştir. Pek çok konu ve alanda gazete ve dergilerin yayımlanmaya başlandığı bu dönemde, özellikle mizah alanında pek çok süreli yayın çıkarılmıştır. 115 sayılık yayın hayatıyla hakkında rahatlıkla uzun ömürlü olarak bahsedilebilecek olan bu dönemin mizah gazetelerinden biri de Geveze Gazetesi’dir. İlki 63 ve ikincisi 52 sayıdan oluşan gazetenin ilk cildi, her gün neşredilen bir gazete olması hasebiyle mizahî bir gazetede olmaktan ziyade günlük haber gazetesi olarak değerlendirilir. İkinci cilt ise haftada iki gün yayımlanır ve mizah unsuru ilk cilde göre büyük ölçüde artmıştır. Her iki ciltte de karikatürler oldukça önemli bir yer kaplamakla beraber neredeyse tüm sayıların ilk sayfası ve çoğunlukla son sayfaların da bir kısmı karikatüre ayrılmıştır. Bu çalışma, literatürde hakkında herhangi bir çalışma yapılmamış olan Geveze Gazetesi’ni konu edinmektedirin the Ottoman period. The publication activities showed a wide diversity ranging from sports to humor. Many periodicals were published especially in the field of humor during this date. One of the humorous newspapers of this period, which can be mentioned as a long-lived life with its 115-issue publication life, is Geveze. The newspaper, which consists of 63 newspapers in the province and 52 newspapers in the second, dominates the direction of being a daily news newsletter because it is the first newspaper published daily. The second volume was published two days a week and the humor element greatly increased compared to the first one. In both volumes, caricatures occupied a very important place, and the first page of almost all the numbers, and a part of the last pages were mostly spared for cartoons. This study deals with Geveze, which has not been studied in the literature.
