Yapısal güçlendirme ile örgütsel bağlılık arasındaki ilişkide psikolojik güçlendirmenin ara değişken rolü: öğretmenler üzerinde bir çalışma

Abstract

This study examine the relationship between teachers structural empowerment in their working environment with commitment to their organization and to find out the role of psychological empowerment as an mediating variables . The data used in this study have been achieved from private and public school teachers that located on the European side of Istanbul. This survey was implemented to 140 teachers working in public and private schools, teaching grade level from 1 to 12. Research results showed that there is a relationship between structural empowerment and organizational commitment however psychological empowerment does not act as an mediating variable. Also in this study, it is seen that their organizational commitment changed by teachers' gender, marital status, length of employment at institutions and schools. Men, married individuals, 10 years and older employees and women teachers working in private schools has significantly higher organizational commitment scores compared to singles, employment of less than 10 years and public school teachers. In terms of psychological empowerment, it is seen that teachers working in private schools have higher average scores than compared to teachers working in public schools The importance of empowerment in schools is discussed based on research.
