dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to examine the role of occupational humorous coping skills of employees in relation between ethical leadership and turnover intentions. The study is important for understanding the role of humor in overcoming a number of challenges in workplace. The sample of the study consisted of 192 people working in the service sector in Istanbul. Findings showed that there is a negative relation between ethical leadership and turnover intention. According to the results of hierarchical regression analyzes, occupational humorous coping moderates the relation between ethical leadership and turnover intention. Where ethical leadership is high, occupational humorous coping skills does not reduce the turnover intentions of employees, but where ethical leadership is low, as the employees’ humorous coping skills increase, their turnover intentions are reduced.en
