Abstract

Cinema is freedom; it entails different searches and constantly renewal. In this study, we will look at David Lynch and editing. Different approaches to the way editing effects a work and what we are faced with when we are faced with editing that is outside of the system will be touched upon. Nonlinear editing, unlike linear editing, creates different worlds and lead to different experiences. What separates David Lynch from other directors is this approach and his cinema language. Here, in terms of nonlinear editing, The Lost Highway is examined. When the film is edited again, or when the film's sequences and scenes are separated and their places changed, we will see that the film is a different film and will have a different narrative. Key Words: Editing, Non Linear Editing, David Lynch, The Lost High
