Divan-ı Galib Zühdî (İnceleme-metin)

Abstract

This thesis is composed of three chapters. The first chapter focuses on the life and the works of Galib Zühdî, who is one of the influential poets of the 19th century Classical Turkish Literature. The second chapter is devoted to the analysis of the "Dîvân-ı Gâlib Zühdî" in terms of its form and its content. This chapter attempts to identify the common characteristics that Galib Zühdî's poetry and the traditional poetry share and also the differences between in order to reveal the poet's language and style. In conclusion, the final chapter presents "Dîvân-ı Gâlib Zühdî" in the light of Prof. Dr. İsmail Ünver's article titled "Suggestions on Standard Writing In Transcription" and by using "Oktay New Transcription Font".
