Orta öğretim öğrencilerinin internet ve oyun bağımlılık düzeylerinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Gelişen teknolojinin kullanımı günlük hayatımızı kolaylaştırmaktadır. Ancak teknolojinin aşırı kullanımı insanı olumsuz şekilde etkilemektedir. Bu araçlardan günümüzde en yaygın kullanıma sahip olan bilgisayarın amacı dışında gereğinden fazla kullanılması önemli bir problem olarak görülmektedir. Bu çalışma orta öğretim öğrencilerinin internet ve oyun bağımlılık düzeylerinin sınıf, okul türü ve cinsiyete göre anlamlı düzeyde farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Ordu ili Fatsa ilçesinde 2013-2014 eğitim öğretim yılının ilk döneminde ortaöğretime devam eden 119 u kız 149’u erkek olmak üzere toplam 268 kişi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma sonucunda hem internet bağımlılığı düzeyi hem de oyun bağımlılığı düzeyi açısından cinsiyete yönelik anlamlı bir farklılık bulunamamıştır. İnternet bağımlılık düzeyinin okul türü açısından Anadolu Lisesine devam eden öğrencilerle Sağlık Meslek Lisesi ve İmam Hatip Lisesi öğrencileriyle Sağlık Meslek Lisesi öğrencileri arasında anlamlı farklılık bulunmuştur. Oyun bağımlılık düzeyiyle okul türü açısından anlamlı farklılık bulunamamıştır. İnternet bağımlılık düzeyiyle sınıflar arasında anlamlı farklılık bulunmuştur. 9 sınıflarla 10 ve 11. Sınıfa devam eden öğrenciler arasında anlamlı farklılık bulunmuştur. 11. Sınıfa devam eden öğrencilerin internet bağımlılık düzeyinin daha fazla olduğu görülmektedir. Oyun bağımlılık düzeyiyle sınıflar arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunamamıştır.

The use of the developing technology simplifies our daily lives. However, the overuse of the technology affects the human beings in a negative way. That the over and unnecessary use of the computers, which is the most commonly used technological device today, is accepted as an important problem. This study aims to signify if the internet and game addictions of the secondary education students differentiate according to their grades, school types and genders. The working group of the study is composed of totally 268 students, 119 girls and 149 boys who are all students of secondary education in 2013-2014 education year, in Fatsa, a town of Ordu. According to the result of the study, there is not significant correlation between gender and internet-game addiction. The study reveals that there is diversity between Anatolian High School and Health Vocational High School students and between Vocational Religious High School and Health Vocational High School students when the level of the internet addiction is compared according to the school types. There is not much correlation between game addiction levels and school types. However, there is significant correlation between grades and the level of the internet addiction. There is diversity among 9th, 10th and 11th grade students. The study shows that the internet addiction level of the 11 th grade students is the highest. There is not significant correlation between grades and the level of the game addiction.
