28-Faruk Duman’ın “Av Dönüşleri” Hikâyesi Üzerine Bir Tahlil Denemesi

Abstract

Faruk Duman is a writer who has been producing novels, stories and essays in Turkish literature since the 1990s. The author, who produced products in the years when the postmodern understanding of art was effective, has a unique fairy-tale style. With his works published so far; He is one of the most productive writers of our time, having been awarded many awards such as the second place in the Orhan Kemal Short Story Award (1998), the Sait Faik Story Award (2000), the Haldun Taner Story Award (2010), and the Orhan Kemal Novel Award (2 019). In this study, the author's story "Av Dönüşleri", which is in the book "Av Dönüşleri", which is the second story book published in 1999 and includes six stories, will be analyzed. In the six stories in the book, there is no interrelated, sequential plot and order. However, nature, forest and especially animals have an important place in all stories. In the stories in this book, Duman concentrates on the complexity of the human mind rather than the event. Among the stories in the aforementioned book, the story named "Av Dönüşleri" was chosen in order to reflect the author's style and show the techniques he used. In the introduction part of the study, information about the life of the author was given, the awards he received and his other works were mentioned. After this chapter, "Av Dönüşleri"; subject, plot, the narrator and his point of view, time, place, personnel, language and expression techniques and the result were examined under eight headings. In the concluding part of the article, evaluations were made on the story based on this analysis.
